Belhus has a knit construction. The cloth is then put through a process called fulling. This basically felts the fabric but soaking the material in a soap solution and then compressing the fabric, making them stick together.
As this is Merino wool Belhus has a beautiful soft touch and not a titchy feeling. This fabric can used for pattern where the edge is left raw and will not frey.

Our boiled wool is made in a mill we have a long standing relationship with. The cloth has Oeko-Tex 100 standard certification. This certification is renewed every year and we are sent the updated certificate.
